Swedish Massage

$95.00 per 1 hr

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Reiki

$95.00 per 1 hr

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.

Event Chair Massage

$125.00 per hour (2 hr. min.)

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Deep Tissue Massage

$95.00 per 1 hr

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Geriatric Massage

$95.00 per 1 hr

Geriatric massage is a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. It helps to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and also increase range of motion. If you are elderly, geriatric massage can help you maintain and improve your overall health, as well as regain certain physical functions that have been reduced due to aging. In addition, since the elderly don't typically receive enough physical touch, this massage can also help alleviate symptoms of loneliness or depression.

Trigger Point Therapy

$95.00 per 1 hr

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Neuromuscular Therapy

$95.00 per 1 hr

Neuromuscular therapy is a system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930's by Dr. Stanley Lief in England. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins.

Energy Work

$95.00 per 1 hr

Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a "life force", and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.

Active Isolated Stretching

$95.00 per 1 hr

Developed by Aaron Mattes, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a dynamic system for improving your flexibility and overall well-being. As you probably already know, stretching your muscles not only reduces your chance of injury, but also strengthens your tendons and improves your circulation.

Sports Massage

$95.00 per 1 hr

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Thai Massage

$95.00 per 1 hr

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.

Gua Sha

$95.00 per 1 hr

Gua sha is a healing technique of traditional East Asian Medicine. Sometimes called "coining, spooning or scraping", Gua sha is defined as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) of a lubricated area of the body surface to intentionally create transitory therapeutic petechiae called "sha" representing extravasation of blood in the subcutis or capillary beds. Gua sha stretches the fascia, helps rid the body of stagnant blood and lymph from the subcutaneous fascia. It also produces an anti-inflammatory and immune protective effect that persisits for days following a single treatment.

Cupping

$95.00 per 1 hr

Cupping is an ancient Chinese alternative therapy which involves placing cups on the skin and then creating a vacuum through heat or suction to draw up the tissue and blood. Cupping is also known as myofascial decompression. Proponents believe that the increased blood flow speeds healing and releases muscle tension. In addition to improving circulation, cupping helps with pain and inflammation, expedites recovery time, releases toxins, opens energy pathways, promotes relaxation, reduces stress, activates the lymphatic system and strengthens the immune system.

Tibetan Bowl

$95.00 per 1 hr

Sound massage is the therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies of a person, with the intent of bringing them into a state of harmony and health. Each bowl emits a great number of sounds and overtones, depending on the point where it is tapped. Like the concentric waves caused by a pebble being thrown into a pond, the bowl's vibrations spread throughout the body during a sound massage. The entire body, including joints and muscles, is gently freed from blockages, hardened parts, tension and inhibitions. The soothing vibrations gently massage the soft tissue and have a positive and profound effect on the body. It is a powerful, yet gentle healing system.

Some of the physical and psychological benefits that may result from a sound massage treatment include:

  • Deep relaxation
  • Stress reduction
  • Anxiety relief
  • Lowered blood pressure
  • Improved circulation
  • Lymphatic mobility
  • Reduction in pain level
  • Improved sleep
  • Immune system support
  • Headache relief
  • Improved digestion and food elimination
